BONE BROTH . . . "A good Bone Broth can resurrect the dead" . . . South American proverb



This easy, yummy, anti-aging Bone Broth is a staple in Asia for the sick, for the new mom, for joints / bones, and used by all women to preserve their youth.   In fact this recipe is for everyone . . . so you can feed your family, heal the sick, and restore your beauty at the same time.  Here are just a few of the benefits the Chinese attribute to Bone Broth:

  • 4 quarts of cold filtered water

  • 1 whole free-range chicken  - no hormones, no antibiotics

  • 2 T vinegar (This helps to pull all of the valuable minerals from the bones.)

  • 1 large onion

  • 2 carrots

  • 3 celery stalks

  • 1 bunch parsley (can be added during the last 10 minutes of cooking)

  • pepper & Himalayan pink salt to taste (for new moms, go light on the salt)


  • 1)  Fill large pot or crockpot with water.

  • 2)  Add vinegar and all vegetables except parsley to the water.

  • 3)  Put the whole chicken into the pot.

  • 4)  Bring to a boil.  Remove any scum that rises to the top.

  • 5)  Reduce to low setting and let simmer.

  • 6)  After about 1 ½  to 2 hours the meat can be removed from the bone.  Put the carcass back into the pot and continue simmering for another 6 to 24 hours. (The longer the better)

  • 7)  Add the fresh parsley about 10 minutes before finishing the stock to give extra nutrition.

  • 8)  Remove bones from broth and strain the broth to remove the vegetables and small bones.

  • 9)  Once the soup has cooled, you will notice that a "skin" forms on the top.  This contains valuable nutrients so just stir it back into the stock when you are ready to serve.   The Broth can be frozen.  It can be used in place of water for cooking.   (Example: Use for cooking rice to add extra flavor and nutrition.)  You can also add the broth to a scoop of cooked white rice, with a few pieces of cooked chicken and optional cooked vegetables to make a Congee (rice soup or rice porridge).
